Nelson Architects Pty Ltd have developed a computer based architectural programme for use within the office.

Internally it enables management to control staff times and the development of personnel on projects. From a project management viewpoint all variations, instructions, progress claims, etc are recorded so that at any point in time a complete financial record of the project can be obtained.

This information is particularly useful during the contract administration component of the project s so that up to date financial information is readily available.

To ensure projects are delivered on time a master programme is prepared at the commencement of each project. Regular consultant meetings monitor progress of all disiplines against programme and make adjustments to manpower where necessary.

Quality Assurance

Currently the practice is in the process of preparing Quality Assurance manuals to comply with the international standard ISO 9001. It is anticipated that the firm will be certified by mid 2000.
